Operating in Uganda and Kenya, our 800+ full time staff have served over 52,000 clients and are rapidly growing and innovating.

Common Frequently Asked Questions

A: Yes, however they should be prepayment or payment in advance. This means that if your weekly payment is Ugx 85,000, your monthly advance payment should be 5 times Ugx 85,000, in order to make sure you do not get a late payment fee after 4 weeks of payment (as after 28 days a new payment for week 5 is expected).

A: National ID, 2 guarantors, active phone number, and approval from the vetting visit You must be 18-60 years old, have operated a boda minimum 12 months and minimum 6 months at your current stage No previous loan default with Tugende. Should be able to present two eligible guarantors between 23 and 65 years

A: In order to transfer the log book,Tugende needs the following documents from the transferee,who can be the Tugende client or any other transferee, depending on the wish of the Tugende client. Transferee’s phone number,email address,mothers name,place of birth,current residence,TIN name,TIN number and the transferee signed valid National ID,passport or voters card(signed). One copy of both the front and back side.if the client does not have a signed National ID/voters card/passport,please provide a NIRA letter(addressed to the Chief Licensing Officer at the Ministry of Works Kampala)and the (unsigned) NationalID/Passport/Voters cardiff the transferee. NOTE: If the transferee is not the Tugende client,a scanners sales agreement should be provided to apply for the log book transfer
